Transportation

Getting from Here to There

The Campus Shuttle can take the hill climb out of your daily routine. The shuttle runs around campus from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the beginning and end of each scheduled class hour. The trip includes the college farm and the Veterinary Technology Center. Special shuttles take students to and from the Wellsville campus.

A quick reminder: no smoking (of any kind) is permitted on any van or bus. Alcohol is also prohibited. Thanks for remembering.

Bus Etiquette

The loop road on campus is clearly marked with a double solid yellow line; meaning that there is no passing. Going around a stopped bus, or any other vehicle on the loop road, is a violation of section 1126(a) of the NYS Vehicle and Traffic law. Section 1126(a) reads as follows: When official markings are in place indicating those portions of any highway where overtaking and passing or driving to the left of such markings would be especially hazardous, no driver of a vehicle proceeding along such highway shall at any time drive on the left side of such markings.

ACES bus drivers routinely gather vehicle information for violators and alert university police to take action.

Please be courteous to the drivers and pedestrians and do not drive around stopped vehicles on the road -- it could be a dangerous situation. All bus riders and pedestrians should use caution when crossing the road, regardless of the right-of-way.
